US scrambles to increase weapons production after Biden let military info slip on TV

In response to President Biden’s recent public disclosure of American military information on television, the U.S. Department of Defense is reportedly scrambling to increase its production of weapons and other defense supplies. According to sources within the DoD, officials are pushing to accelerate various weapons programs in an effort to protect America against potential adversaries and restore damaged credibility in the world’s eyes.

The haste with which the DoD enacted accelerated military production is reportedly a direct result of Biden’s slip up when appearing on morning television earlier this week. Several media outlets have since confirmed that military detailing and information about America’s presence in the Middle East was inadvertently revealed due to the president’s misnomer.

The defense department, however, has yet to publicly comment on the matter, citing the need for confidentiality in matters of national security. Nonethless, the U.S. government is expected to ramp up production of a variety of weapons and materials including advanced bombers, fighter jets, and high-tech drones. It is also rumored that certain naval vessels and submarines are also receiving upgrades for increased levels of protection.

Regardless, analysts and observers are quick to point out that the urgency of the situation can only be solved in the long term. By ramping up military production, the DoD might be able to fill the gaps caused by President Biden’s slip up and restore America’s credibility in the global security space. However, only time will tell the extent of the damage and if the president’s mistake can truly be rectified.
