Yes, Ohio’s vote was about abortion, but it was also about majority rule in which a majority of Ohioans voted to end abortion in most instances. Thanks to the ballot initiative, abortion will now only be allowed in cases involving the life/health of the mother, pregnancy resulting from rape/incest, or on fetuses with fatal anomalies. For abortion restrictions in Ohio to be overturned, voters will have to initiate a repeal through a ballot initiative.
