More than 300,000 air fryers sold at Walmart, Target and Kohl’s recalled for burn hazard

A company that manufactures air fryers sold at Walmart, Target and Kohl’s is recalling more than 300,000 units due to reports of burn injuries. The Gosund Air Fryer Pods that were sold in 1.2 and 2.5-quart sizes have been reported to overheat and cause incidents of burn injury. The burn injury reports stem from users attempting to open the air fryer during operation. The company is providing customers with refunds and a warning to immediately stop using the air fryer and to unplug the power cord. The recalled air fryers feature a black plastic lid with silver detailing and have manufacturing dates between October 2019 and May 2020.
