Jewish seminary in Israel: Gaza border reopens following deadly Hamas terror attack

The Israeli-Gaza border was reopened on Sunday following a deadly Hamas terror attack last Thursday.

The attack, which left four Israeli soldiers dead and seven wounded, led to the closure of the Israel-Gaza crossing points. On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had opened the crossings and resumed routine operations along the border.

The attack was the deadliest since the 2014 Gaza war and was condemned by the United Nations, the European Union and other countries as well as by Israel.

The Gaza border is popular with commuters who travel between Israel and the Gaza Strip for work, education and medical treatment. It had been closed since October when a specific threat was detected.
