UAW says it’s expanding strike to include major Ford truck plant in Kentucky
The UAW is expanding its nationwide strike against GM to include a major Ford truck plant in Louisville, Kentucky. The Louisville Assembly Plant produces the Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickup trucks, two of the automaker’s highest-selling vehicles. The expansion of the strike comes after the union sent workers to the plant to spread its message of reform. The Louisville plant is one of three Ford plants in the state of Kentucky, and one of 40 that the UAW is striking against GM.
