How is the Republican presidential nominating fight not over?

The Republican presidential nominating fight is not over yet because no candidate has yet secured the required number of delegates needed to officially win the nomination. Even though the current frontrunner, former Vice President Joe Biden, has substantial delegate leads in most polls, he still needs to reach a majority of delegates to become the official nominee. As of now, this has not occurred yet due to the delays and adjustments in primary election scheduling due to the coronavirus pandemic. As of April 28th, Biden has not reached the required number of delegates (1,991) and the remaining delegates from the states that still have yet to hold their primary could hold the key to determining the overall nominee.
